The pursuit of quality education in agriculture received a major boost as the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) program of the Cagayan State University (CSU) Solana-Lara Campus was officially granted the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The COPC validates that the BSA program meets the requirements set by CHED, ensuring that the University provides a strong foundation in agricultural sciences, research, and extension. This recognition is expected to further strengthen CSU’s role in promoting sustainable agriculture and in empowering future leaders in the agricultural sector.
The granting of the COPC for the BSA program marks the third and final COPC awarded to CSU Solana-Lara, following earlier approvals for BS Criminology and BS Information Technology. With this, the campus has successfully completed its journey toward full COPC compliance across all its academic programs.
This milestone was made possible not only through the commitment of the College of Agriculture faculty members, headed by Dean Dr. Michael Uy, but also through the unwavering support and collaborative efforts of the entire CSU Solana-Lara community—its faculty, staff, and students—who worked hand in hand to make this achievement a reality. The campus likewise recognizes the steadfast leadership of its Campus Executive Officer, Engr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, whose guidance and dedication have been instrumental in steering the campus toward this accomplishment.
