Strengthening a culture of excellence and innovation, the In-House Review for Completed, Ongoing, and Proposed Research and Extension was successfully conducted through the Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Office of Cagayan State University – Solana-Lara Campus.

This undertaking provided a strategic platform for faculty members to present their completed and ongoing research and extension projects, as well as proposed initiatives, for technical evaluation, quality enhancement, and alignment with institutional and national development priorities.

Sincere appreciation is extended to the distinguished panel of evaluators for their invaluable expertise, constructive recommendations, and professional guidance: Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Engr. Audy R. Quebral; Director for Research, Engr. Anderson G. Gonzales; Director for Extension, Prof. Josie Y. Bas-ong; University KTM Director, Prof. Gilbert C. Magulod Jr.; University TVET Coordinator, Prof. Charmie S. Calvo; and University Consultant, Dr. Florentina S. Dumlao. Their insights significantly contributed to strengthening the methodological rigor, relevance, and potential impact of the research and extension initiatives presented.

A total of fifteen (15) research proposals, one (1) completed research study, four (4) ongoing research projects, and three (3) extension proposals were evaluated during the activity. The review process ensured that each initiative adheres to established standards and reflects the University’s continuing commitment to innovation, community engagement, and excellence in both research and extension services.

This initiative likewise supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by advancing excellence and innovation in higher education; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by promoting research- and extension-driven solutions; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration among academic units, evaluators, and institutional stakeholders.

Through this activity, the campus reaffirms its steadfast commitment to fostering a dynamic research and extension culture, enhancing faculty capability, and generating knowledge and community programs that contribute meaningfully to local and regional development.
