The Cagayan State University (CSU) Solana-Lara Campus carried out Project HAIDEE on Wednesday, October 14, in conjunction with the university-wide tree-planting activity, “CSU United: One Community for Climate Action.”
Project HAIDEE, which stands for Harnessing Actions and Initiatives for Development, Environment, and Ecology, encourages employees to plant at least one tree during their birth month to promote environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The initiative, named after Dr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, the founding and current Campus Executive Officer, was participated in by campus employees celebrating their birthdays from June to September.
Anchored on the tagline “Adding Years, Adding Trees,” the project aims to integrate tree planting into employees’ personal milestones and foster a culture of environmental stewardship within the campus.
Through the initiative, CSU Solana-Lara reinforces its commitment to environmental sustainability through simple yet meaningful actions that contribute to a greener campus and community.
