A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was officially signed on April 11, 2025, between Cagayan State University Solana-Lara Campus and Carag Farm for the use of a 10-hectare land area in Amulung, Cagayan. The agreement grants agriculture students access to the farm as a dedicated practicum site, where they can apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on training in real agricultural settings.
The MOA signing was formally conducted between Campus Executive Officer Engr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang and Mr. David L. Carag, owner of Carag Farm. The agreement represents a mutual commitment to promoting agricultural education and sustainable farming practices through community partnership.
“This partnership is a great leap toward bridging classroom instruction with real-world application. It is our responsibility to equip our students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with the technical skills necessary for them to thrive in the agricultural sector,” said Engr. Mabborang during the signing ceremony.
She further emphasized that the campus continues to pursue strong linkages to produce highly skilled, competent, and industry-ready graduates in agriculture.
The CSU Solana-Lara Campus views this collaboration as a significant opportunity to enhance students’ practical skills, deepen their understanding of local agricultural practices, and nurture future professionals who will contribute to the country’s food security and rural development.
