In celebration of Women’s Month 2026, CSU Solana–Lara Campus conducted a hands-on Livelihood Training on Bread and Pastry held on March 26, 2026. Bringing together female employees, student mothers and students with special needs, the activity became a shared space to learn, create, and enjoy the process of baking—turning simple ingredients into opportunities for growth and possible livelihood.
This meaningful initiative was made possible through the support of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), with Ms. Mae Angeline Ojas-Orro serving as the resource speaker. Through her guidance, participants were able to gain practical skills and helpful techniques in bread and pastry making.
In total, 40 participants—including female employees, student mothers, and students with special needs—actively took part in the training, making the experience not only educational but also empowering and enriching for everyone involved.
To further extend the celebration, hygiene kits containing shampoo, conditioner, disinfectants, and colognes were distributed to women, other employees and visitors around the campus before the day concluded—highlighting the campus’s continued commitment to care, inclusivity, and women’s well-being.
The campus also extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked hand in hand to make the Women’s Month celebration a success, including those who generously offered their support. Special recognition is given to Mr. Joemar Maguddayao, Distributor’s Specialist of Skintec Advance Inc., for providing hygiene kits to the campus.
The success of the activity was made even more meaningful as participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Chrissa P. Dayag, Campus GAD Focal Person, for her initiative and dedication in organizing the program.
In the same spirit of gratitude, they also extended their sincere thanks to Dr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, Campus Executive Officer, whose continued support for programs like this helps uplift and empower women in the campus community.
