In its continuing pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance, Cagayan State University Solana-Lara Campus successfully underwent the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) Visit for its newly offered Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) Program on May 28, 2026.

The activity was graced by the esteemed evaluators from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), namely Dr. Leticia Aquino, Ms. Ginalyn A. Rivera, and Ms. Jee A. Evangelista-Liban who thoroughly assessed the program’s compliance with the standards and requirements for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC). The evaluation covered academic documents, instructional facilities, faculty qualifications, student support services, and other institutional requirements essential in delivering quality teacher education.

During the feedbacking session, the assessors, headed by Dr. Leticia Aquino, commended the campus for its evident dedication, teamwork, and collective effort in preparing for the RQAT visit. She acknowledged the strong commitment of the administration, faculty members, and staff in achieving a commendable level of preparedness for the evaluation. Dr. Aquino likewise recognized that the BECED program has already demonstrated responsiveness to the needs of future educators while aligning its goals and initiatives with the standards set by CHED.

The evaluators also shared valuable recommendations and insights that would further strengthen the program and guide its continuous improvement. In her message, Dr. Aquino emphasized that it is normal for a new program offering to still have areas for enhancement, including documents and requirements that need further compliance, as these are all part of the institution’s growth and development process. With this, the campus was given ample time to comply with the recommendations in preparation for the hopeful issuance of the COPC.

The conduct of the RQAT visit reflects CSU’s steadfast commitment to providing accessible, relevant, and quality education to the community. As a growing institution, the campus continues to embrace opportunities for development, recognizing that every RQAT visit serves not only as an assessment but also as a pathway toward institutional growth and excellence.

With the support of the university, other campuses, administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and stakeholders, CSU Solana-Lara Campus remains hopeful and determined in its mission of nurturing competent, compassionate, and globally responsive future educators who will make a meaningful impact in the field of early childhood education.
