As part of its continuous commitment to strategic planning, Cagayan State University Solana–Lara Campus successfully conducted a two-day Targets Cascading, Workshop, and Presentation Forum on February 6 and 9, 2026 in preparation for Fiscal Year 2026.
The activity aimed to align campus and office-level targets with the University’s strategic directions, ensuring that all units are guided by clear, measurable, and attainable goals. The program formally commenced with the Targets Cascading led by the Campus Planning Officer, Ms. Jane Singson, who presented the campus targets and performance indicators for the coming fiscal year. These targets will serve as the basis for monitoring accomplishments and assessing institutional performance.
Following the cascading activity, a workshop for Office Heads was conducted to guide them in crafting their respective Work and Financial Plans (WFPs). The WFPs were designed to reflect each office’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) Analysis, supported by corresponding strategies and financial requirements. During the workshop, Results-Based Target (RBT) Forms were also reviewed and revised in accordance with the prescribed guidelines, with technical assistance provided by Ms. Singson.
On the second day, selected offices presented their WFP outputs for critique and evaluation. The presentations were assessed by the Campus Executive Officer, Engr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, who provided constructive comments and recommendations aimed at strengthening the clarity, feasibility, and alignment of the proposed plans. The discussion emphasized the importance of realistic targets, proper budgeting, and outcome-based planning to ensure effective implementation.
An additional highlight of the activity was the re-echoing session conducted by Dr. Ailene M. Gannaban, Campus Human Resource Management Officer, on the Civil Service Honor Awards Program (CSHAP). The session aimed to orient participants on the significance of the program in recognizing outstanding performance and exemplary service among government employees, while encouraging offices to actively nominate deserving personnel.
This was followed by a lecture delivered by Mr. Hitson Dangatan, Campus Document Control Officer, who discussed the proper procedures and guidelines in accomplishing the NAP Form. The session sought to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in documentation across campus offices.
The activity concluded with words of commitment from the Campus Academic Coordinator, Dr. Vicenta B. Maguddayao, who emphasized the shared responsibility of all offices in translating plans into concrete actions. She affirmed the collective commitment of the campus to work collaboratively toward the attainment of the targets set for FY 2026, anchored on accountability, transparency, and service excellence.
