Cagayan State University (CSU) Solana–Lara Campus marked a historic milestone as it held its first-ever Commencement Exercises, celebrating the graduation of 236 pioneer graduates who completed their respective academic programs and formally became the institution’s first alumni.
The momentous occasion highlighted the campus’ commitment to academic excellence, transformative education, and student success, as graduates crossed the stage with pride and gratitude, closing a meaningful chapter of their academic journey while preparing for new paths ahead.
University officials led by Prof. Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, OIC-University President, attended the ceremony together with vice presidents, deans and directors, campus executive officers, members of the CSU Board of Regents, and other university officials. Their presence underscored the significance of the milestone in the history of the university.
Guest of honor and commencement speaker, Congressman Joseph “Jojo” Lasam-Lara of the 3rd District of Cagayan, congratulated the graduates and expressed admiration for the rapid growth of the campus. He described CSU Solana–Lara as an institution that has turned a vision into reality, nurturing students who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to society. He also encouraged the graduates to carry with them the values of perseverance, integrity, humility, and service as they pursue their future endeavors.
Also present was Solana Mayor Meynard Z. Carag, along with members of the Sangguniang Bayan and barangay officials of Iraga, Solana, Cagayan. Their attendance reflected the strong support of the local government for the continued development of the campus and its role in community advancement.
The ceremony ended with pride and inspiration, as the 236 pioneer graduates of Class 2026 officially became the first alumni of CSU Solana–Lara Campus—carrying with them the values, aspirations, and enduring legacy of their alma mater.
